According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Guardians were close to trading Steven Kwan to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the trade deadline. They were so close that a general manager said, "Everyone in baseball thought (the Dodgers) were getting Kwan."

The Cleveland Guardians reportedly opted not to trade two-time All-Star Steven Kwan at the trade deadline, according to Zack Meisel of The Athletic.

Two NL West rivals, the Dodgers and Padres, are reportedly the two teams angling for a trade for Guardians' Steven Kwan.
