"Double-digit percentage declines" were observed "across all major console platforms", including a 38% dip in PS5 hardware spending year on year. Xbox Series consoles were hit even harder, with a 50% drop while the Nintendo Switch suffered the largest slow down thanks to a 53% sales decline compared to last year.

According to video game industry analyst Mat Piscatella, PS5 Pro sales are not keeping up with its PS4 counterpart.

Sony has not released official PS5 Pro sales figures. However, its latest earnings results included Pro sales for the first time, and showed that launch-aligned, PlayStation 5 is now just 1.5 million units behind PlayStation 4 during the same period of its lifecycle (75m vs 76.5m).

Sales for Sony's upgraded PlayStation 5 appear to have stumbled after only a few months, as console sales in the US drop across the board.

It turns out that people aren't too excited about paying $700 for the PS5 Pro and would rather spend their money elsewhere.
