In a somewhat unexpected twist, Boise State and Colorado State’s meeting in Saturday’s conference tourney final may cost a couple familiar faces an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.

Mountain West Tournament championship game is set. No. 2 Colorado State (24-9) and No. 5 Boise State (24-9) will meet at 4 p.m. Mountain time Saturday at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The winner will secure the MWC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Although there will be no bid thieves in the top few conferences, there’s now another threat that should have bubble teams fearful. A five-bid Mountain West.
