Houston Astros All-Star closer Josh Hader will be shut down from throwing for approximately three weeks after the team announced he has been diagnosed with left shoulder capsule strain.

The Astros will go with a match-up based approach to their bullpen roles for now. Hader will undergo more testing on the sore shoulder.
