The plane skidded off a runway at Muan International Airport and caught fire after it crashed, a fire official said.

The damaged flight data recorder from the crashed Jeju Air jet in South Korea will be sent to the US for further analysis.

Several passenger plane crashes have occurred worldwide this year, including a Wednesday morning Azerbaijan Airlines wreck that has left dozens feared dead.
