John Crawley, the 47-year-old TikTok comedian known as KingBeardX, had over 3.5 million followers on TikTok and Instagram

The internet comedian died from cardiac arrest on Aug. 18, Glenfield Funeral Home Director Paul Lazenby confirmed to PEOPLE. He was 47. Crawley was known by his following of over 3.5 million for his fluffy beard and comedic reactions to people eating food, which he posted to his TikTok and Instagram accounts.

Crawley had been admitted to an intensive care unit in Mississippi earlier in August after having trouble breathing, a friend said.
