John Stamos will meet Jesus face-to-face on stage at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend, replacing the ailing Josh Gad as King Herod. Cynthia Erivo leads the production as the superstar that is Jesus Christ with Adam Lambert as her foil, Judas.

John Stamos is sliding into the golden slippers of King Herod just hours before the curtain comes up on Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl. Stamos’ last minute casting comes after Josh Gad announced yesterday that he would no longer occupy the throne on Friday night.
