Retired U.S. women's soccer star Carli Lloyd and her husband are expecting their first child in October. The 41-year-old Lloyd announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Carli Lloyd has emerged as the star of the U.S. Women's Soccer team during this year's World Cup. The Delran, New Jersey native has scored a goal in each victory on the way to the final.

Lloyd, who retired in 2021 after making 316 appearances for the USWNT, was one of five people inducted into the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame in Sunday's ceremony in Frisco, Texas.
