Ben Healy's sensational form at the Tour de France has seen him claim a stage win and the yellow jersey, but those who have been following his career are not surprised by the performances of a laid-back yet methodical individual.

Now he leads the Tour de France by 29” seconds over Tadej Pogacar, as well as leading the best young rider classification by 1’29” over Belgian superstar Remco Evenepoel, who was third overall at the Tour de France last year.

On Thursday, he won the sixth stage, and Ben Healy was perhaps the top favorite for the Tour de France's tenth stage. But the Irishman from EF Education - EasyPost put his ambitions for the day aside and secured the yellow jersey.
