Hideki Matsuyama could not get the accustomed Tiger Woods photo and congratulations after winning the 2024 Genesis Invitational.

Given that Tiger Woods left the competition last year due to the flu, Matsuyama was unable to take a photo with him.

Matsuyama is back to defend his title — 123 miles south of last year’s victory. Last month’s devastating Los Angeles wildfires forced relocation of the Genesis from the Pacific Palisades’ Riviera Country Club to Torrey Pines.
