France will use interest from Russian assets to fund another 195 million euros ($211 million) in arms for Ukraine, Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu said a newspaper interview.

PARIS — France is warming up to the possibility of seizing Russian frozen assets to help Ukraine, said an official with direct knowledge of talks within the French government and between Paris and Berlin.

French Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu announced that France will provide military aid to Ukraine worth 195 million euros. The deal will be financed through interest from frozen Russian assets,
