Less than 24 hours after being dubbed a hurricane, Tropical Storm Barbara has weakened. At the same time, the National Hurricane Center continues to track Tropical Storm Cosme and another area of low pressure that could develop into a system.

Tropical Storm Barbara continues to weaken as it heads northwest away from land and is likely to dissipate by Wednesday.

Barbara was a tropical storm in the North Pacific Ocean early Tuesday Mountain time, the National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory. The tropical storm had sustained wind speeds of 60 miles per hour.
