STONINGTON — The Connecticut Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting to update progress on work on the Alpha Avenue bridge, the roadway into and out of Stonington Borough.

A coastal Maine town is in the middle of a drought, and because of that, its local water company is asking residents to conserve water use.

The company issued a mandatory water conservation notice last week in an effort to avoid buying water again this year.
