A shelter-in-place order was lifted Thursday evening for residents near a wildfire that started early in the day along Interstate 5 in northern Los Angeles County. The order included a recreational-vehicle park near the King Fire’s ignition site. Beyond the shelter-in-place zone, evacuation warnings were issued.

A wind-driven wildfire named the King Fire has erupted in northwestern Los Angeles County, threatening homes and prompting evacuation warnings. The blaze, which has charred 2.5 sq km of land, has invoked efforts from firefighters and air support.
