Jimmy Butler underwent an MRI that revealed no structural damage but the Golden State Warriors star potentially could miss Game 3 with a deep glute muscle contusion, league sources told ESPN on Thursday.

When your top two stars are 37 years old, like Stephen Curry, and 35 years old, like Jimmy Butler, you have to expect that there will be bumps and bruises by the time the playoffs come around. That has, in fact, been the case for the Warriors, who have been led by 25.5 points per game from Curry and 14.0 points from Butler in two postseason games.

Even though the Warriors were the lower seed, they proved the people right with a 95-85 victory in Game 1. Having already won on the Rockets' home court, it seemed as though the series was swaying heavily in Golden State's favor.
