Chelsea's win over LAFC took place in a 70,000-capacity NFL stadium that attracted an attendance of just 22,137.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca described the atmosphere in Chelsea's 2-0 Club World Cup win over LAFC as "strange" because of the lack of fans.

Maresca fielded a relatively strong team against LAFC, with the likes of Reece James, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson all starting. Liam Delap and Dario Essugo came off the bench to make their Chelsea debuts in the second half. The former grabbed a late assist, setting up Enzo Fernandez to make sure of the victory.
