Spain’s government has stepped to provisionally allow midfielder Dani Olmo and forward Pau Víctor to continue playing for Barcelona following the Spanish league’s refusal to do so.

Barcelona finally got positive news regarding Dani Olmo's situation and he's now available to play with the club—at least for now.

Barcelona will be able to play Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in the second half of the 2024-25 La Liga season temporarily.

Barcelona will be taking La Liga to court yet again after the league has ruled that Dani Olmo and Pau Victor can't be registered until the summer due to Barcelona not having enough space under the La Liga salary cap following the expiration of their injury exemptions.

Barcelona have not given up hope that Dani Olmo will be able to play for them in the second half of the season despite missing the January 1 deadline to register him with La Liga. A statement from La Liga on Tuesday night said Olmo and his team-mate Pau Victor have subsequently been deleted from the club’s registered squad with the league.

Dani Olmo and Pau Victor will be allowed to play for Barcelona after Spain's National Sports Council (CSD) on Wednesday allowed the LaLiga club to provisionally register the duo, four days after Spanish football authorities rejected their requests.

Spain's National Sports Council (CSD) has granted LaLiga club Barcelona the provisional registration of Dani Olmo for the rest of the season after an initial four-month allowance expired on Dec. 31, it said on Wednesday.
