Residents in Wichita, Kansas, came together Thursday to mourn the lives of those lost on board a passenger jet that was involved in a deadly mid-air collision overnight at Reagan National Airport.

Wichita, Kansas is considered The Air Capital of the World. The community continues to grieve after a devastating plane crash from Wichita to D.C. on Wednesday night.

Kansas officials are sharing what they know after an American Airlines flight that departed from Wichita crashed in Washington, D.C., Wednesday night.

American Airlines flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas, was on final approach to Reagan National Airport when it collided with an army helicopter late Wednesday night. Wichita Mayor Lily Wu joins "America Decides" to discuss how her community is reacting to the tragedy.

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly said Thursday afternoon that the flight manifest for American Airlines Flight 5342 could be available by Friday afternoon.

Wichita mayor Lily Wu offers support to the community following the deadly crash. There were 60 confirmed passengers and four crew members on the plane.
