LeBron has never been an inspiring contract, quite literally. Never in his 23-year career over the nine contracts he’s signed, over all the different teams he’s been on.

But considering the Lakers' situation, it may not be the worst option. The Lakers seem to want to sign a max-contract player in 2027 and are taking the steps to do so.
