Anthony Edwards scored 33 points, Julius Randle added 28 and the Minnesota Timberwolves won their fourth straight game by beating the Phoenix Suns 121-113 on Wednesday night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves rallied from a 24-point deficit to forge a late tie in a 116-115 loss to the Golden State Warriors that suggested they're not far from finding their groove.

There's good news on that front. The Timberwolves released an update on DiVincenzo's injury on Friday, Jan. 24, noting that surgery will not be required and he will be re-evaluated in three weeks for a potential return after the All-Star break.

The Timberwolves led by nine in the fourth quarter in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day matinee, and were up 95-90 after Anthony Edwards canned a jumper with 4:30 to play. But Memphis stormed back to seize control via an 11-0 run over the ensuing 2:10 to go up six.

Edwards, who was questionable for the game due to illness, hasn't missed a game yet this season, starting all 44.

Just as Donte DiVincenzo was heating up, the injury bug bites. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard is out indefinitely due to a left big toe injury he sustained on Jan. 15 against Golden State, ESPN reported Monday. DiVincenzo, whose foot has been placed in a boot, will receive additional opinions on treatment options in the coming days.

The 27-year-old guard has flirted with triple doubles in two of Minnesota’s last three outings. DiVincenzo tallied 28 points, nine assists, six rebounds, one steal and zero turnovers in the Wolves’ loss to the Warriors on Wednesday, making him the first player in franchise history to post such a line.

"I would say the starting group gotta come out with more energy like we want to play the game of basketball, like we love the game."
