The Sacramento Kings will reportedly be open to trading their star point guard, De'Aaron Fox. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Kings are expected to open talks to potentially deal Fox before the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

The proposed trade would send De'Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs while giving the Sacramento Kings the 'win-now' talent they want.

“In this business, you have to put those emotions aside,” Fox said. “Obviously, everybody especially who were here during that long (postseason drought), and who was on this team when we made the playoffs, obviously that means a lot to everybody.

Moreover, the Spurs' asset pool is one of the deepest in the league, likely second only to the Oklahoma City Thunder 's treasure trove of future draft picks.
