DETROIT – Looks like the NHL schedule-maker played a trick on the Detroit Red Wings and sent them on a midseason trip to the four places where they’ve struggled the most in recent years. The Red Wings, following a seven-game winning streak under new coach Todd McLellan, hit a bump in the road Tuesday with a 6-3 loss to San Jose.
The 6-2 win over Seattle was the Red Wings’ seventh straight, which is their longest win streak since January 2012. Vibes are high in Detroit. And with a game against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, that streak has a serious chance to continue.
