The fire, reported at around 2:05 p.m., grew to five acres in roughly 15 minutes, spreading northwest through undeveloped shrub land.

A wildfire dubbed the Steele Fire broke out near Rancho San Diego and Jamul on Wednesday afternoon, burning five acres with a moderate spread. Cal Fire ordered evacuations north of Campo Road and southeast of Jamacha Road,

Steele Fire initially started 3:32 p.m. June 27 in San Diego County, California. Since its discovery 13 days ago, it has burned 28 acres. There is currently no information on the containment of the fire.
