Alec Baldwin has filed a civil rights suit against the district attorney and other officials in Santa Fe, N.M., alleging that he was wrongfully prosecuted for manslaughter in the accidental shooting of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Actor Alec Baldwin filed a civil lawsuit against Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies, Special Prosecutor Kari Morrissey, and other Santa Fe officials for malicious prosecution and civil rights violations.

Baldwin, whose involuntary manslaughter charge was dismissed in July, accused New Mexico officials of abusing their power in prosecuting him.
