Residents of Fairmont Village Apartments are left homeless after a flash flood caused the building to collapse, with Fairmont State University providing shelter for those affected.

Fairmont Fire Chief Brain Starn provided an update to 5 News about the current state of injuries in the friendly city. “We have no injuries reported thankfully there are no casualties involved at this time,

Fortunately, unlike the Wheeling disaster, Fairmont had no loss of life and nobody unaccounted for. Morrisey confirmed to reporters the recovery of six bodies in the Wheeling area and two more are still being sought in the aftermath of the flooding.
