MINNESOTA — The Texas Rangers have opted to proceed cautiously with the health of their ace. Right-handed pitcher Nathan Eovaldi returned to Arlington for “more diagnostics” on his injured arm, Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday before the club’s series opener against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.

Left-hander Patrick Corbin (4-5) pitched five innings for the victory.
