Team India lost three wickets in the first hour's play on Day 1 of their 1st Test vs Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were dismissed for 6 each and all three wickets went to Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud.

Bangladesh pace bowler Hasan Mahmud picked up his second five-wicket haul in a row as India was bowled out for 376 runs in its first innings on Day 2 of the first cricket test.

Bangladesh were alive in the game and fighting when off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz troubled the Indian batters with a five-wicket haul while defending a target of just 145 runs. In his five-for, Miraz dismissed Pujara, Gill, Kohli, Pant and Axar and had India reeling at 74/7. But, his effort went in vain as Iyer and Ashwin took India home.
