Rains cause flooding & a minor leak in the Taj Mahal's marble dome—the impact of weather on this symbol of love & architectural masterpiece.

The plant has emerged between two marble stones and a molding section, with its leaves swaying rapidly in the breeze.

Serious concerns are being raised about the Taj Mahal's neglect after the renowned Mughal monument's main dome leaked in rain.

“We saw leakage in the main dome of the Taj Mahal. But when we checked, we found it was due to seepage and there was no damage to the main dome. We have checked the main dome using a drone camera,” Superintending Archaeologist of Agra Circle, Rajkumar Patel said. The ASI is continuously monitoring if the leakage is continuous or intermittent.

Continuous heavy rainfalls have caused water leakage in the main dome of the Taj Mahal, severely flooding its gardens.
