As the final results of the General Election roll in across North Carolina and the country, the state’s future governor, Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein, has found plenty to celebrate along with the Democratic party.

The election was one of 11 gubernatorial contests. Voters also considered dozens of hot-button ballot measures and thousands of state legislative races.
