In August 2023, Sony shocked fans by confirming a big price increase for PlayStation Plus. The change came into effect from September 6, 2023, with yearly subscriptions going up by 33%.

It has now been confirmed the price of PlayStation Plus will also increase in Canada and Türkiye on June 24, 2025. In Canada, it is only the price of the one-year plan that is seeing an increase.

PlayStation Plus prices in Canada have increased by up to 22.6%, impacting all three tiers. Many countries have seen PS Plus prices go up recently, including Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.

This may be because there was a PlayStation Plus price hike in the UK in 2015. Before this, in 2014, Sony raised the price of PlayStation Plus in South Africa, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and India.
