Microsoft isn't killing Windows Control Panel after all The 40-year-old tool still seems to have plenty of life left, though certain settings will continue to be deprecated.

This may not be a surprise for many Windows users. Since October 2020, Microsoft has been redirecting users away from the Control Panel, goading them to use the Settings app instead.
