Shohei Ohtani hit his 49th home run of the season and snatched two more stolen bases in Miami on Thursday, leaving the Los Angeles Dodgers' slugger one home run away from being the first player in MLB history with 50 homers and 50 stolen bases in a single season.

In the Dodgers' 20-4 demolition of the Marlins, Ohtani was responsible for half of the team’s runs, going an astonishing 6-for-6 at the plate. He hammered three home runs, two doubles, and a single, accounting for 17 total bases. To add to the spectacle, Ohtani also stole two bases, making his impact felt across every facet of the game.
