Evacuation orders for hundreds of people are still in effect as the Greer Fire continues to burn in Apache County. The fire has scorched over 7,000 acres with no containment. FOX 10's Nicole Krasean reports.

More residents have been placed in SET evacuation status as the Greer Fire continues to spread in northern Arizona.

GREER, Ariz. — A fire burning in the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest near Greer has forced evacuations and power outages. All people in Greer and South Fork have been told to evacuate. Multiple agencies are responding and crews are asking the public to pull over and allow them to pass.

The wind-driven Greer Fire started on private land and destroyed multiple structures, the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management said.

Multiple structures have been destroyed and evacuations have been ordered as a fast-moving wildfire burns near an Apache County community.
