Aaliyah Chavez, Jazzy Davidson and Sienna Betts named finalists for 2024-25 Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year award.

The 6-foot-3 Carroll was chosen to play in the 2025 McDonald's All-American girls game on April 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Grandview High School senior was named one of three finalists for the Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year on Thursday. The other two are Oregon guard/forward Jazzy Davidson and Texas guard Aaliyah Chavez.

Makalusky is the second HSE girls basketball player to receive the award, joining 2019 recipient Sydney Parrish.

Watauga High School senior Kate Sears has been named the Gatorade North Carolina Player in the Year for the 2024-2025 girls basketball season. Sears stands at 5-foot-9 and played point guard for Watauga.
