It's hard to look at Apple's new "Liquid Glass" aesthetic and not think about Windows Vista, Microsoft 's much-maligned OS which also touted transparencies and glass-like effects as a bold new vision for computing.

iOS 26 features a whole new design material that Apple calls Liquid Glass, with a focus on transparency that lets the content on your display shine through the controls.

The Liquid Glass interface also now enables a third way to view app icons on the iPhone home screen.
