GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Snack maker Utz Brands Inc. intends to close its Grand Rapids facility.

In a press release on Thursday, Utz Brands announced it planned to close its Grand Rapids manufacturing facility, reducing the number of its plants from eight to seven.

Facility was acquired by Utz Brands in 2021 as part of the $41-million Festida Foods deal, and is the latest casualty of the company’s optimization efforts.

Utz Brands plans to shut down its Grand Rapids manufacturing operations in January 2006 and warehouse operations that May as it consolidates its manufacturing footprint, the company said.
