An international search continued Friday for a University of Pittsburgh student who vanished while on a spring break trip to the Dominican Republican earlier this month. Sudiksha Konanki, 20, was last seen on March 6 with a group of friends heading to a beach in Punta Cana.

Local media previously reported that authorities quickly came to believe that Konanki, 20, drowned after going in the water after a night out with friends.

Officials said missing University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki's clothes were found on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where she disappeared.
