PRETORIA (Reuters) - The third Twenty20 International between South Africa and India was halted early in the home side’s reply after a wave of flying ants descended on Centurion Park in Pretoria on Wednesday and forced the players from the field.

India broke and equalled a barrage of records during the match, including becoming the first-ever team in T20 history to register more than 200 sixes in a single calendar year.

Tilak Varma scored a maiden Twenty20 International century with a brilliant 107 from 56 balls to help India to an 11-run victory over hosts South Africa at Centurion Park on Wednesday, a game that was stopped for nearly half an hour by flying ants.

Tristan Stubbs has scored a patient 47 not out off 41 balls as South Africa beat India by three wickets in the second Twenty20 to level the four-match series 1-1.

World Cup finalists South Africa have rested all-rounder Marizanne Kapp for their upcoming T20 series with England. The Proteas are set to host Heather Knight's side from 24 November for ODI and T20 series, each comprising three matches, followed by a one-off Test match.

The toss for the third T20 between South Africa and India is scheduled to take place at 8 PM IST. Hardik Pandya has handed over Ramandeep Singh his maiden international cap. He might replace Tilak Verma in the squad.
