The Philadelphia Phillies edged the Boston Red Sox on Monday night, 3-2, in 10 innings thanks to a bases-loaded catcher interference call that forced home the winning run. The incredible rare feat had not happen since 1971 at the Major League level.

Boston is 1-3 since the All-Star break, while Philadelphia is 2-2 — both losing the first series of the second-half. The Red Sox have scored three total runs in their three losses and six in their lone win during this stretch.

The team rattled off an impressive win streak before hitting the All-Star break, then took a game from the juggernaut Chicago Cubs. Most recently, the Phillies needed extra innings and a catcher's interference fluke to defeat them, as starter Walker Buehler enjoyed an encouraging return to form.

The Red Sox have now struck out 28 times in two games in Philly so far.
