Giannis has been exceptionally loyal to the Bucks, and it seems like he’s staying on brand. Still, Milwaukee’s inflexibility and lack of top-end talent around the two-time MVP are impossible to ignore. Don’t pencil him into the Bucks’ opening-night starting five just yet. We have a lot of offseason left.
Of course the Knicks are interested in trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo. If he decides it’s time to move on from Milwaukee (a decision likely to come closer to the NBA draft), 29 other teams are going to call Bucks GM Jon Horst and kick the tires on a deal.

The Athletic's James L. Edwards III and Fred Katz reported that the Knicks added Tucker to the fold because the front office "believed the locker room needed more leadership, a presence to help with communication issues that had plagued the group both on and off the court all season."
Former Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and the well-traveled Mike Brown – who coached the Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals and was the 2023 NBA Coach of the Year for the Kings – are the favorites at this point and will soon interview for the opening.
