The Comet is headed to the big leagues. Infielder Hyeseong Kim, whose first name translates to "comet" in a Korean dialect, has been promoted to the Dodgers from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make his Major League debut,

Signed to a three-year, $12.5 million contract last winter, Kim was working on his swing in Triple-A. The promotion is likely to be temporary with Edman expected to return next Saturday.

The corresponding move for Hyeseong Kim’s call-up was utilityman Tommy Edman going on the injured list because of a right ankle injury.
