A man is hospitalized after being stabbed during a fight at a CTA Red Line stop on Wednesday, Chicago police said.

Charges have not been announced for the suspect, who officers tased during his arrest after the attack which happened around 11 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 75th Street, police said.

Service was disrupted on the CTA Red Line Wednesday afternoon after a stabbing on a train near the Chicago Avenue station on the Near North Side. CBS News Chicago is told that an altercation broke out between two people on the train,

The 95th-bound Red Line trains were briefly delayed Wednesday afternoon at the Chicago Avenue stop after a 58-year-old man was attacked and his head was cut, according to police and CTA officials.

A Chicago Fire Department spokesman said one man was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition from the Chicago Avenue subway station after the attack, which was reported within the last hour.
