Auburn improved its chances of grabbing a national seed over the weekend with a dominant showing against South Carolina.

The Auburn Tigers wrapped up their home-SEC schedule on Friday with a three-game sweep of the South Carolina Gamecocks. AUBURN, Ala. – No. 5 Auburn finished off a three-game sweep of South Carolina with an 11-10 walk-off win in game one and an 11-3 victory in game two Friday at Plainsman Park.

Auburn finished off its second sweep of SEC play Friday night, beating the Gamecocks 11-3 in Game 3 after wins of 24-2 and 11-10, respectively, in the first two games. The wins improve Auburn’s overall record to 36-15 (16-11 SEC) and put the Tigers in a great spot to be a top eight seed in the NCAA tournament.
